Description: The City of San Marcos, Texas received money from 3 different U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR), and Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). These funding sources are broken down further into programs created with that funding and finally each activity is shown where funding was spent. Some programs with no location information were not included in this dataset with the possibility to include them in the future. These programs include but are not limited to Habitat for Humanity homebuyer counseling, Hays Caldwell Women's Center Programing, and Utility assistance. This data set also only includes activities between 2018 to present with future possibility of adding more historical data. Field Descriptions as follows:FULL ADDRESS: Full address in forma '#### prefix street name suffix' (all caps) NBRHOOD: Name of neighborhood the activity is located within. YEAR (Short): Year completed FUNDING_SOURCE: The name of the funding source for the activity. DOMAIN [DR, MIT, CDBG, OTHER] PROJECT_TYPE: The project category the activity falls within. DOMAIN [Mitigation, Preservation, Housing, Infrastructure, Public Service, Other Projects] PROGRAM: The name of the program the activity is associated with. DOMAIN [New Construction, Reconstruction, Owner Occupied Rehab Program, Facilities, Infrastructure, Demolition, Homebuyer Assistance, Other] Reconstruction is also listed as “Rehabilitated homes” in some circumstances, as well as, New construction is also listed as “New homes”.LMI: Percentage of the household income, that received funding, that is below the area median income (AMI) also known as Low-to-Moderate Income (LMI) – DOMAIN [30%, 50%, 80%]. AMI based on Austin-Round Rock MSA CDBG and CDBG-DR Income Limits - HUD Exchange ELEVATED: Was the home constructed or elevated 18" above the last flood line? Yes [Y] or [N]. DOMAIN [Y/N] ETHNICITY: Ethnicity of the Head of Household receiving the funding. About the Topic of Race -Census HISPANIC: Is the Head of Household receiving funding of Hispanic origin? Yes [Y] or [N] DOMAIN [Y/N] FEMALE_HEADED_HH: Is the household receiving funding a female-headed household (FHH)? Yes [Y] or No {N]. HH = House Hold. A female-headed household (FHH) is a household where a woman is the primary or sole income provider and decision-maker. The reasons a household may be female-headed include: divorce, separation, migration, non-marriage, widowhood, and economic separation from a partner. No adult men are present. DOMAIN [Y/N] DISABILITY: Is someone in the household that received the funding have a disability? Yes [Y} or No [N].
